Husky-CNOOC Madura Limited (HCML) is developing MAC field gas reserves in the Madura Strait Block for sales gas to buyers in Java Island. This field is located offshore in the Madura Strait East Java, about 120 km east of Surabaya and about 25 km South East of Madura Island.

The development plan of MAC gas field involves drilling and completion of three wells at around 230 ft water depth, installation of minimum facility wellhead platform (WHP) and Mobile Offshore Production Unit (MOPU), and installation of approximately 7 km 10” export pipeline which will be subsea tied-in to existing 28” EJGP pipeline. The MAC production facilities with design capacity of 60 MMSCFD to accommodate the plateau rate of 54 MMSCFD from MAC field wells that will be sustained for 5 years.

The MAC WHP is a minimum facilities 3-legs unmanned wellhead platform with 5 well slots (3 slots for present, 2 slots for spares). The gas lines from each well are routed directly by using flexible jumper lines to the MOPU. The MAC MOPU will consist of gas treatment, compression, dehydration and dew point control facilities which shall be designed to ensure sales gas quality to meet EJGP pipeline specification.

Consortium of PT. Duta Marine and PT. Pakarti Tirtoagung has been awarded the Contract by Husky-CNOOC Madura Ltd. (HCML) for the Lease Mobile Offshore Production Unit (MOPU) of the offshore Madura MAC Gas Fields Development Project.

PT Synergy Engineering has been awarded the Contract by the Consortium EPC to deliver a full multi-discipline Detail Design Engineering (DDE) for the Topside Facility of the Lease of Mobile Offshore Production Unit (MOPU). This covers all disciplines including Process, Safety, Mechanical, Piping, 3D modeling, Instrumentation, Controls, Telecoms, Electrical, Structural and Pipeline. Follow-on Engineering was also performed, including Interface engineering (with the Hull and Marine, Living Quarters, as well as the WHP); Fabrication / Construction Support; and Commissioning/Start-up Support.
