Conrad Asia Energy Ltd - West Natuna Exploration Ltd is developing the MAKO Gas Field in the Riau Islands Province, Indonesian waters in the West Natuna area.

The development of the MAKO Gas Field will initially entail 5 production wells with the capability to drill a 6^th well if required. The well configuration consists of 1 or two ‘dry tree’ wells on a Conductor Support Frame (CSF) and subsea wells for the rest of the wells. All the instrumentations at CSF are connected to MOPU Control System and is remotely controlled and operated from MOPU. The gas flowing from the wellheads will be transferred to MOPU via jumpers for further treatment. The export gas after treatment on MOPU is being exported to the buyer via an offshore pipeline connected to WNTS. 

The MAKO MOPU is a converted drilling jack up rig, with set of design requirement that reflects the minimum process facilities envisaged to satisfy the functional requirements for the MAKO MOPU Facility. The MAKO MOPU Topsides shall be designed to receive full well stream fluids from the wells and separate the gas from produced water. 

To reduce, as much as possible, the offshore drilling and construction risk, a drill rig installable jacket structure to support the dry tree will be installed prior to the arrival of the MOPU facility which will allow the drilling program to be completed in isolation of the MOPU arrival.

The CSF facility would require to be ‘free standing’ until the arrival of the MOPU after which it can be tied back to provide full structural lateral support via horizontal braces in a “W” formation connecting the forward legs of the CSF to the hull of the MOPU. A bridge structure landing on the CSF will be provided to allow access between the MOPU and the CSF.

PT Synergy Engineering has been awarded the Contract by the COMPANY to deliver a full multi-discipline Front End Engineering Design (FEED) for both of the Topside Facility of the Lease of Mobile Offshore Production Unit (MOPU) and the Topside Facility of the Conductor Support Frame (CSF) The scope covers all disciplines including Process, Safety, Mechanical, Piping, 3D modeling, Instrumentation, Controls, Telecoms, Electrical, Structural and Pipeline.
