DC Floating LNG Development FEED Study

Location: British Columbia, Canada

DC LNG is a small-scale floating liquefied natural gas (FLNG) export facility permanently moored in a fjord near Kitimat village in British Columbia, Canada.

Synergy's Scope of Work

The facility included a Floating Liquefaction Unit (FSU) with no onboard storage, and will be supplied by Pacific Northern Gas via an existing pipeline. The LNG product will be offloaded to standard LNG carriers for transport to market.

Synergy completed the FEED for the project in collaboration with Liquid Cold Corporation and GE Oil & Gas, with the work scope split such that Synergy developed the PDMS 3D design model, 2D layout drawings, fire and gas philosophy / layouts and process safety studies.

The work scope also included input into the cost estimate and detailed design schedule.
