WMO Asset Laser Scan As-Building

Client: Pertamina Hulu Energi West Madura Offshore (PHE WMO)

Location: Indonesia

Pertamina Hulu Energi West Madura Offshore (PHE WMO) is the operator of the West Madura Offshore Block Production Sharing Contract (PSC) and the Poleng Block Technical Assistance Contract (TAC), both offshore Madura, East Java.

PHE WMO operates a series of platforms including the Poleng Processing Platform (PPP), which is connected to the AW Platform, and the Central Processing Platform (CPP). The gas is exported via subsea pipeline to an Onshore Receiving Facility (ORF) at Gresik, while the oil is exported from the PPP-AW platforms through an FSO.

Synergy's Scope of Work

Synergy performed an as-building exercise for a package of drawings on PPP, CPP, AW and ORF facilities. The scope of work was separated into three phases: Phase 1 for critical process drawings, Phase 2 for piping and dimensional drawings and Phase 3 for electrical and instrument drawings.

The as-building process included on-site laser-scanning (conducted by specialist surveyors Surtech) and the development of a smart 3D PDMS model linked to the P&IDs.

Key Project Archievements

  1. Developed smart 3D PDMS models for PPP, CPP, AW and ORF facilities from the laser-scanning point clouds.
  2. Successful deployment of the Synergy 3D plant design platform to automatically generate all dimensional piping, safety and E/I drawings.
